Srimad Bhagavatam is a wealth of knowledge describing the depth of the spiritual universe or the cosmos as we know it. As Visal said Srimad Bhagavatam is Krishna in book form. What that means is that in reading Srimad Bhagavatam and practicing at the same time we get a look into all of the various forms of Krishna. It is a complex chart of the spiritual plain. The stories are as epic as those of ancient Greece.
Visal das talking about how he got into teaching
“Prabhupada once said to be a teacher you have to be a student first. In 1968 in San Francisco I purchased a Bhagavad Gita as it is and i read it from beginning to end. I heard that Swami was coming from India. After I read it I asked the spiritual master to initiate me in devotional service. I moved to Los Angelos to New Dwarka dam in 1970, where Prabhupada translated Caitanya Caritamrta what I consider our postgraduate work. Prabhupada compared learning Bhagavad Gita to a Bachelors of Arts degree or a BA degree, Srimad Bhagavatam to a Masters degree or an MA degree, and he compared Caitanya Caritamrta to a PHD. I was always preaching and distributing his books.”
“Once upon a time in Los Angelos, I distributed 108 Back to Godhead magazines, and I came back to the temple and Prabhupada was there, I asked Prabhupada if I could go to India, Prabhupada said “you're Narada Muni you can go wherever you want.” He instructed me to travel and preach in Vrindavan distributing his books. When I saw how he influenced the movement and how the devotees were developing good qualities it convinced me that i was in the right place.”
“Srimad Bhagavatam is Krishna in book form. Srimad Bhagavatam is considered as good as God, it is the transcendental sound vibration of Krishna. I've been practicing Krishna conciousness for 43 years so I'm conviced I've got the right book.”
“remember to always chant HARE KRISHNA”

Red Bar Gallery
Red Bar Gallery in Brickell is a great place to sample modern urban abstract art. The low light of the rustic antique lamps, and modern cone shaped hanging lamps draw out the paintings on the walls. This is a great place to check out.
Bartender Andre Perez said, “most of the paintings are the work of local artists, sometimes someone is painting on the spot so people can walk in to see, and at the same time there is a band going so it creates a nice atmosphere.” Perez said, “newcomers are welcome to bring in paintings or drawings,” Some still photos are also on the walls. There is a picture of a bridge up on the wall that a photographer put up.
The term local might be deceiving since Brickell has visitors from all over the world. Yes, bands from overseas visit Red Bar Gallery all of the time. Each week a new featured artist comes in. Once a week comedians get up, and tell jokes. Perez said, “most are local though we get comedians from all over too.” It is a place where creative thought can thrive. For the collector a picture is worth a thousand words, take a look around.

The Miami Planetarium
The science of the stars and the planets and the myth's that goes along with it is one of man’s great quests to discover. The telescope gives us a farther look out into space. On a clear night the skies are so full of stars it looks like a milk ocean.
The Planetarium at the Miami Science Museum located in Vizcaya provides a show called the amazing telescope ‘two small pieces of glass,’ how to find the stars and planets of the month, and ‘legends of the night sky’ laser show.

A Planetarium is a great resource that allows the viewer to visualize a map of the stars. A virtual chart constellations, suns, and planets. Planetarium director Mark Bennett said "all of the stars of the season are current, star charts are updated each month." Mark mentioned "Orion, Taurus the Bull, Sirius ‘the brightest star‘, Anopus ‘the 2nd brightest‘," then named the stars of the Winter Hexagon; "Sirius, Capella ‘the 4th brightest‘, Aldebaran in Taurus the Bull, Rigel in Orion, Procyon in Canis Minor, Pollux, and Castor over in Gemimi."
For the planets Jupiter is visible after dark in our region until 9:08 PM., in the western sky. Saturn will show up at 10:14 PM on the eastern horizon visible until sunrise. Venus will appear to the east at 4:17 AM. The Moon is in the disc one phase, a waxing crescent.
